The EARLI SIG 17 "Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches to Learning and Instruction"
invites you to participate in the forthcoming SIG #17 meeting between the biennal EARLI
conferences.
The workshop will be held together with the
Center for Qualitative Psychology
to deepen our joint understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods. This will happen in Riga (Lettland), October 20-22, 2006.

Although the SIG meeting is linked with the CQP workshop, it will have its own time-slots and enough space to discuss selected EARLI topics (e.g. planing joint activities for the 2007 EARLI conference). Participants will have the opportunity to network and to discuss their work in qualitative and quantitative methodology. This year's topic will be:

"Learning and Instruction in the changing academic context"

Invited are researchers from psychology and educational science who conduct qualitative and quantitative research, as well as those researchers who contribute from the perspective of various disciplines to the enhancement of EARLI topics with special consideration on methods. Faculty and advanced (doctoral) students from all areas of research on Learning and Instruction will have the opportunity to reflect their own research work together with experts. The program includes presentations and work groups about themes linked to learning and instruction that are developed within various international contexts.
